Nina Dietzel has contributed photography to The New York Times, National Geographic, Forbes, Fodor, The Lonely Planet, AFAR Magazine, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Cairo Observer, and other publications.

Dietzel’s portfolio ranges from intense, fast-paced assignments—such as photographing former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, Benjamin Netanyahu and other heads of state—to more intimate settings, such as quietly photographing artists at work. Assignments include a collaboration with British sculptor and environmentalist Andy Goldsworthy, documenting the making of @Large: Ai Weiwei on Alcatraz, and photographing Mark di Suvero’s sculptures at his open air fabrication studio in Sonoma County.

Dietzel is an AFAR Brand Ambassador, part of a select group of influential travel writers and photographers who share AFAR’s vision and passion for authentic travel. Dietzel is a regular contributor to Getty Images.

Dietzel’s personal work has been exhibited in the United States and in Germany.
