Cazuela con Tequila at El Parian
Just a few steps from Del Corazon de la Tierra, you’ll find a courtyard filled with restaurants. At one of them, Peco’s, we learned to make a delicious Cazuela con Tequila, a typical Jalisco cocktail.
This one is easy. We squeezed a bunch of citrus fruit (orange, lime and lemon) over ice into our individual cazuelas (small clay dishes usually used for food), then added a shot of tequila, and, depending on taste and required alcohol strength, about half a bottle of Squirt (apparently that’s very important, so don’t substitute). The result was delightful, and what’s not to love about a drink, you’ll actually remember how to make!
